Barbara K. Dow, 83, of Westville, NY., passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday evening, February 25, 2018, while under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc.

Born in Westville, NY., August 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Katherine LaPage Robinson. She graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone, NY., in 1952.

On July 23, 1952, she was united in marriage to James E. Dow, at St. Mary’s Church in Fort Covington, NY. He predeceased her on September 27, 2009.

Barb was a homemaker and provided child care for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, and plastic canvas. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends.

Survivors include, three sons and two daughters in law, Randy and Cindy Dow of Westville, NY., Ricky Dow and his companion Nancy Robinson, of Athens, TN., and Jody and Marcy Dow of Burke, NY., two daughters and sons in law, Kathy and Max Gurrola of Massena, NY., and Melody and Lawrence Savage of Bangor, NY., three granddaughters, five grandsons, two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Francis Robinson.

There are no calling hours. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
