Obituary of Michael L. King, Sr.

~Michael L. King, Sr., 62, of Malone, NY., passed away Tuesday evening, August 8, 2017, at the U.V.M. Health Care Network Alice Hyde Medical Center, in Malone, NY., with his loving family by his side. He had been a patient there since August 2.
   Born in Malone, NY., April 15, 1955, he was the son of the late Donald and Hazel Butterfield King. He attended local schools.
   For thirteen years, he was employed by the Bellmont Highway Department. He later was employed by the Franklin County Highway Department. Mike was also a self employed carpenter. He retired in June because of his health.
   He enjoyed hunting, playing pool, woodworking and automobile repair. He was an avid NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan.
   Survivors include two sons, Michael L. King, Jr. of Plattsburgh, NY., and Timothy M. King of Malone, NY., two daughters, Sarah A. King and her companion, Cameron A. Racine of Plattsburgh, NY., and Linsey M. King of Owls Head, NY., six brothers and five sisters in law, Donald and Jeanie King of Bellmont, NY.,  Elmer and Beverly King of Bellmont, NY., Patrick and Denise King of Malone, NY., James King and his companion, Joan Reome of Bellmont, NY., Darrell and Susan King of Bellmont, NY., and Steven and Mary Jeffery of North Bangor, NY., three sisters and a brother in law, Helen Landry of Westville, NY., Denise Wingham, and Joan and Gary “Joe” Trombley of Columbus, GA., four grandchildren, Breiann, Nathan, Alex and Alice and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Calling hours will be Monday from Noon until 3 p.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. John Werley officiating. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone, NY.
