~   Nicholas J. Gratton, 23, of Westville, NY., passed away unexpectedly, Saturday morning August 26, 2017, at C.V.P.H., in Plattsburgh, NY., with his loving family by his bedside.
   Born in Plattsburgh, NY., December 30, 1993, he was the son of Howard and Danise McElwain Gratton. He graduated from Salmon River Central School, in Fort Covington, NY., in 2013.
   Nick loved going for rides, country music, playing on his computer and being with his family and friends.
   Survivors include his parents, Howard and Danise Gratton of Westville, NY., one sister, Danielle Gratton of Westville, NY., his step grandmother, Beth Loetterle of Baldwin, NY., three aunts, Michelle Drumm of North Bangor, NY., Ael Loetterle of Staten Island, NY., and Halie Loetterle of Baldwin, NY., two uncles, Francis Loetterle and his wife, Connie of Minnetonka, MN., and Steven Loetterle of Baldwin, NY., and several cousins and great aunts and a great uncle.
   He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Daniel Loetterle  and Eleanor Loetterle Thomas and Victor and Jeanne McElwain and his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Phyllis Gratton.
   There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service and burial will be held in the old St. Mary’s Cemetery, in Fort Covington, NY., on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating.
   Donations may be made in his memory to the Westville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
   Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. in Malone, NY.
