Obituary of Marie E. Southworth

~Marie E. Southworth, 95, of Malone, NY., passed away early Monday morning, August 28, 2017, at The Alice Center in Malone, NY. She had been a resident there since April of 2015.
 Born in Malone, NY., on November 2, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Clara Mooers Bruso. Marie graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Malone, in 1938.
 On July 31, 1941, she was united in marriage to Vincent E. Southworth by Fr. Campeau at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Constable, NY. He predeceased her on May 4, 1998.
 Marie was employed as a supervisor at Tru-Stitch in Malone, NY., for 27 years. She retired several years ago.
 She enjoyed reading, crocheting, shopping, eating out at various restaurants, and doing word find puzzles. She especially enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren and was known for never forgetting when it was a family members birthday.
 Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Keith and Jodi Southworth of Constable, NY., two daughters and two sons in law, Carma and Russell Peck of Burke, NY., and Jane and Marty Paddock of Saratoga Springs, NY. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
 Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by two brothers, Lloyd and Lyle Bruso and by two sisters, Kathleen Gardner and Theresa Cassaw.
 Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017, from 10-11:45 a.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Malone, NY. Burial will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery in North Bangor, NY.
 Donations may be made in her memory to the Malone Fire and Rescue Department.
