Daniel F. Fleury, 73, of Constable, NY, passed away Sunday morning, December 6, 2020, at his home, while under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc. Born in Constable, NY, December 3, 1947, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Catherine Fountain Fleury. He attended local schools. Dan was an auctioneer from 1968 until 2018. He also owned and operated his cattle business, and dairy farm and was employed by the Constable Town Highway Department. For the past sixteen years, he drove school bus for Malone Central Schools. He was a life member of the Constable Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and served for more than fifty four years. He also bowled and played softball on the Fire Department teams. He was a 4-H Leader for more than thirty years and showed cattle at the Franklin County Fair and the New York State Fair for many years. He worked as a Security Guard at the Franklin County Fair for many years. Dan loved being a farmer and working with his tractor. On July 5, 1969, he was united in marriage to the former Brenda M. Tavernia, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, in Constable, NY. She survives. Along with his wife, Brenda, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Jason Trombley and Heather and Michael Reardon all of Constable, NY, four brothers and two sisters-in-law, James Fleury and Larry and Kathy Fleury all of Constable, NY, Rick and Lisa Fleury of Queensbury, NY, and Randy Fleury of Atlanta, GA, one sister, Joyce Washburn of Fort Pierce, FL, four grandchildren, Shae-Lyn P. Trombley of Bombay, NY, Colette J. Trombley of Moira, NY, Catherine E. Reardon and John-Michael D. Reardon both of Constable, NY, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother-in-law, Robert Washburn. Calling hours will be Wednesday December 16, 2020, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Constable Volunteer Fire Department, in Constable, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Fire Station, with the Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, in Constable, NY.
