Albert G. Morey, Jr., 71, of Brushton, N.Y., unexpectedly passed away at his home on Sunday, August 6, 2023.

Born on February 11, 1952 in Stockholm, N.Y., he was the son of the late Albert Sr. and Laura Bossey Morey.

Albert graduated high school and went on to receive a master’s degree from S.U.N.Y. Potsdam. He spent his career at the plants in Massena, N.Y., first at Reynolds Metals and then at ALCOA, retiring in 2014.

On September 28, 1987, he was wed to the former Judy Tavernia at the Franklin County Courthouse. She survives.

Albert loved to hunt, fish, especially with his son, go to the casino, and was a lifelong baseball fan and player.

Along with his wife he is survived by a son Ronald and his finace Jeannie Jackon of Fort Covington, N.Y., and his daughter Kimberley Morey of Florida.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, August 11 at 1p.m. in the New St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fort Covington, N.Y.
