Obituary of Arlee Terese Bonesteel

Please share a memory of Arlee to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arlee Terese Bonesteel passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2025. Arlee was born August 12,1990 in Plattsburgh, New York to Bruce Bonesteel Jr. and Marcy Bonesteel. Arlee graduated from Franklin Academy in 2008. She did some volunteer work for the Malone Adult Center, Bonesteel’s Gardening Center, and the Chateaugay Library. Arlee loved to dance, sing, give hugs, posing for the camera, making jokes, arts and crafts, shopping, playing music at 5am, hanging out with her nieces and nephews, and bragging about all of her sisters’ baking and cooking skills. She always brought joy to everyone with her contagious smile. She thought of everyone she met and memorized something about them and made sure they were “ok”. Arlee never met a person that would not end up being her best friend for life. She couldn’t go out anywhere without someone knowing her beautiful face. She was the most beautiful sunshine we could have ever had in our lives. She has the most beautiful blue eyes that just sparkled which helped her get away with mischief when she was younger. Arlee also had a forever dance partner and high school sweetheart Chris Wemette that she cared for deeply. Arlee recently in years had a wonderful “Bestie” named Amy Taylor that helped Arlee with her life goals and they had blast doing it. Arlee loved butterflies, sunflowers, and most of all the color YELLOW. Arlee was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Eldredge and Theresa Barcomb. Arlee is survived by her parents Bruce Bonesteel Jr. and Marcy Bonesteel; sisters, Denielle Bonesteel-Garcia with husband Romeo Garcia, Tiffany White and husband Troy White, and Cortney Bonesteel with significant other Joshua Giagnorio. As well as four nieces and five nephews, Emma Grace, Reaghan McKenna, Victoria Payton, Bellara Luna, Lucas Taylor, Elijah Alexander, Landyon Isacc, Liam Greyson and Justin Tyler; and a great-nephew, Fenix Alexander. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents, Bruce and Arleen Bonesteel; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Service will be at Bruso-Desnoyers Friday March 7th. Visiting hours will be from 5pm-7pm. Donation and cards can be left at funeral home in honor of Arlee and her family. We would ask if all were to wear the color yellow in memory of Arlee if possible. If you have memories captured of Arlee please print and leave at Bruso-Desnoyers.
