Obituary of Pauline G. Rivers

Pauline G. Rivers, 78, of Malone, passed away at her home surrounded by her family and Care of Hospice. She was the daughter of Howard and Saphrona (Rousseau) Pecore. She was married to the late Joseph Rivers, which ended in divorce. Pauline worked at Lamberton School and Alice Hyde Nursing Home in the late 70s prior to working at Franklin County Nursing Home as a CNA for many years, retiring in 2008. She enjoyed her family, bingo, yahtzee, traveling and especially loved her dog, BJ. Pauline is survived by her two sons, Clifford (Carrie) Rivers and William (Cork) Rivers of Malone; three grandchildren, Destiny Rivers, Emily Rivers and Brad Rivers, all of Malone; four great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews; one brother, Walter (Ruth) Wheeler of Chateaugay; six sisters, Connie Wheeler of Albany, Debra (Keith) Luce of Troy, Rebecca Gibson of Albany, Janine (Paul) Marcoux of Cambridge, Linda (Christopher) Russell of Grafton and Mary (Brian) Walsh of Troy. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Everette (Red) Pecore and her companion, Richard Douglass. Per Pauline’s request, there will be no calling hours and a private burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service.
