Beulah A. Almond, 90, of Fort Covington, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at her home.
Beulah was born July 1, 1934, in Moira, the daughter of Edward Sr. and Lena (Russell) Deon.
Beulah was a communicant of St. Mary’s, she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, a bingo volunteer, and a member of the Fort Covington Grange.
Beulah is predeceased by her husband, Clayton Almond; a son, Bryan Almond; brothers, Ronald Deon, Edward Deon Jr., and Neil Deon; sisters, Lois Elliott and Janice Gravell; as well as a grandchild, Melissa (Almond) Brand.
She is survived by sons, Marty (Nancy) Almond of Burke and Chris Almond and his fiancé, Mary Catherine of Rutland, VT; a daughter-in-law, Patti Almond; daughters, Jayne (Timmy) Allen of Brushton, Karen (Dwight) Stowell of Fort Covington, and Sheri (Clay) Bigness of Fort Covington; a sister-in-law, Linda Deon of Moira; sisters, Helen Manning of Syracuse, Joan and Sid Cheney of Brasher, and Linda Perrin of Williston, VT; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling Hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Fort on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a burial following at the old St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Beulah A. Almond may be made to St. Mary’s Church.
