Obituary of Floyd Robert Bingham

Please share a memory of Floyd to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Floyd Robert Bingham, aka "Bing", passed away on May 30, 2025 at the age of 52. His father described his only son perfectly in one sentence, “Bing lived his life the way Bing wanted to live it.” He did so with no explanations, no regrets and absolutely no shame. What mattered to Bing most was his family, his children, his dogs and any sport. Bing’s natural talent and love of the game allowed him to excel and become a valuable team member and captain of one of the best hockey teams Salmon River ever produced. His hard work and dedication to his team earned him Section X outstanding player of the year, First Team All-Northern both his junior and senior year and ranked him the highest goal scorer in his senior year. The thing Bing most enjoyed was socializing. He loved to be around people and to be part of a crowd where he could laugh and tell stories that would make anyone laugh. Bing always took the time to stop and speak to people with a smile on his face. With Bing’s love of socializing when it came to family he never felt obligated it was important to Bing to always be there to check in, help out and spend time with his grandparents, Kate and Amos Arell and Carrie and Les Richards. Whether it was playing cards, having dinner or just swapping stories, the time was full of teasing laughter and just plain fun. Bing's greatest strength was his never-changing self confidence. He believed in himself in a way that made you also believe you were always safe and protected. Without question Bing would fight either for you or with you. Bing’s love, loyalty and protectiveness for his family and those he chose to call family was undeniable. If Bing had the power and ability to help anyone with anything he would do so without being asked, without hesitating and expecting nothing in return. Despite the choices Bing made or the choices that were made for him, Bing never forgot who he was, where he came from and what was important, that’s what made Bing, Bing. Bing will always be loved as a son, a brother, a father, an uncle, a grandfather and a friend. Bing will never be forgotten and forever missed by his parents, Floyd and Glenna Bingham; his sister, Nikki and her wife, Jess; his nieces, Britney and Jordyn; his sister, Amy; his nephew Kody; great niece and nephews, Kaida, Bently, Xander and Kody James; his nephew, Quayd and his girlfriend Taylor and great nephew, Rhonin; his daughter, Alannah and her boyfriend Austin and his only grandson, Hudson; his daughter Laylah and her boyfriend Aidan; his daughter Aliyah and her boyfriend Carter and their mother, Cheryl Gardner; his one and only son, Easton and his mother, Stephanie Hart. There will be no formal services. At the request of Bing there will be a celebration of life Saturday, July 12, 2025 starting at 3pm at the American Legion in Fort Covington.
