With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Andrew McDonald, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on January 26, 1958, in Malone, NY, Andrew was a proud member of the American Indian community and spent his life in the beautiful surroundings of Hogansburg, NY.

Andrew dedicated his career as a Security Officer at the Three Sisters Safe House, where his commitment to protecting and serving the community left a lasting impact. He was also an active member of the Hogansburg Akwesasne Fire Department, showcasing his devotion to helping others and contributing to the safety of his community.

Outside of work, Andrew found joy in the great outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, relishing the tranquility of nature. He was a creative spirit who enjoyed coloring and crafting, inspiring those around him with his artistic side. His love for life and adventure was palpable.

Andrew is survived by his devoted wife, Katilyn McDonald, and his beloved daughter, Charlotte McDonald. He also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry on his legacy of kindness and love. He is further survived by his caring mother, Rita McDonald, and his siblings, Teddy McDonald, Margie McDonald, and Theresa McDonald. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Marie, who passed away in 2017.

As we remember Andrew, let us carry forward the spirit of his love for nature, community, and family. May his soul find peace, and may his memory live on in all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
