Sheila M Allen Obituary

Sheila M. Hosler Allen, 80, of Malone, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, while under the care of her family and Hospice of the North Country. She was born on March 17, 1945, the same date her sister, Shirley, was born.


Sheila was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Lamica Hosler Fish, as well as her stepfather, Frank Fish.


Sheila attended Malone Central School. On September 5, 1964, she was united in marriage to Sandy L. Allen of Malone. On September 5, 2025, they had been married 61 years. In 1968, Sandy, Sheila, Shirlee and Sandi moved to Rochester. When Shane was born, the family moved back to Malone in 1972.


She was a member of the Woman’s VFW Auxiliary and Woman of the Moose Club. She bowled in numerous leagues, the Thursday night ladies league and the Saturday night mixed league, Malone duo. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, bingo was her favorite past time. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Sheila is survived by her husband; her daughters, Shirlee and Sandi; a son, Shane and his companion, Lisa Walbridge of Malone; four brothers, Cameron and his wife, Frieda Hosler of Constable, Maitland and his wife, Barbara Hosler of Westville, Joseph Hosler Jr., and his companion, Iris Shova of Malone and Roderick “Pudgie” of Syracuse; grandchildren, Keisha Allen of Moira and Shana Collins of Malone; and great grandchildren, Traeh, Atleah and Keaton Paige of Moira.


Along with her parents, she was also predeceased by her stepfather, Frank Fish; five brothers, Harold, Leonard, Robert, Clarence and Raymond; and six sisters, Jean Mulvhill, Ann Burke, Bernatte Roscoe, Shirley Hosler, Ida Mae Hosler and Camelite King.


Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. A Graveside Service will take place on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the St. John Bosco Cemetery on Constable Street at 11am. The family will host a gathering after the burial at the K of C.
