Obituary of Gary G. Debyah

Gary G. Debyah, age 76, of Malone, N.Y., passed away at Alice Hyde Medical Center on Friday, September 2, 2022, with his loving family at his side. Born on May 15, 1946 in Malone, he was the son of the late Alfred and Gladys Williams Debyah. On May 22, 1971, he was united in marriage to Kay F. Fleury. She survives. Gary was raised on the family farm and continued working as a farmer for over 30 years. He also was employed at Super Duper and Alice Hyde Medical Center where he retired in 2012. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Joanne Langlois and two sisters-in-law, Gloria Debyah and Barbara Debyah. Gary is survived by three children: Todd (Sherri) Debyah, Michael Debyah, and Kristina (James) Fleury. He has five grandchildren: Brittany Reome, Noah and Jahna-Rae Debyah, and Stephen and Anthony Fleury. He also has two great-grandchildren: Brandalyn and Braleigh Dunlavey. He is also survived by nine siblings: Janet Mayville, Phyllis (Joseph) Santamore, James (Ethel) Debyah, Donald Debyah, Douglas Debyah, Robert (Bonnie) Debyah, Keith Debyah (Yvonne Davis), Kay Tompkins, and Nancy Hutchins, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gary enjoyed camping, his daily coffee with friends, and especially memories made with his beloved children and grandchildren. Calling hour will take place on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 11am to 12pm at Notre Dame Church in Malone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following.
