Clytis C. Primeau, 75, of Malone, NY., passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 10, 2017, at C.V.P.H., in Plattsburgh, NY., with his loving family by his side.
Born in Malone, NY., November 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Clytis D. and Grace M. Lamitie Primeau. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy, in Malone, NY., in 1961. He attended Pratt Institute in New York City, for commercial drawing.
Clytis served in the United States Navy from February 11, 1963 until his Honorable Discharge on June 7, 1967.
On September 18, 1993, he was united in marriage to the former Mary Dixon, at Notre Dame Church, in Malone, NY. She predeceased him on July 9, 2012.
He was a dispatcher for the Franklin County Fire Control for several years. He was later employed as a dispatcher for the New York State Police Troop B in Malone, from March 31, 1988 until February 15, 2006, when he retired.
Clytis was a communicant of St. Andre Besette Parish, at Notre Dame Church, in Malone, NY. He was a member of the Malone American Legion Post 219. Along with his wife, Mary, they enjoyed horseback riding and caring for their horses. He cherished the companionship of his dogs.
Survivors include three sisters and brothers in law, Marilyn and John Fellion, Sheila and Richard Traynor and Miss Patricia L. Primeau all of Malone, NY., and William and Patricia Dixon of Central Square, NY., and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by one brother, Robert Primeau.
Calling hours will be Friday from 9 until 9:30 a.m. at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 10 a.m., at Notre Dame Church, in Malone, NY. Burial will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery, in Schuylerville, NY., in the Spring.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Hope Lodge, in Burlington, VT. or to the American Heart Association.
