Carl C. Demers, Jr., age 60, of Chateaugay, NY., passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Born in Malone, NY., on February 25, 1956, he was the son of the late Carl C. and Rita Roscoe Demers, Sr. He attended local schools. Carl was employed at various dairy farms in the Malone and Chateaugay area for several years and also spent some time working for Tru-Stitch Footwear in Malone. He retired from dairy farming in 2008 due to his health. He was a past communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Chateaugay, NY. Carl loved the outdoors and especially his time cutting firewood. He truly treasured all the time spent with his grandchildren. Carl is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Carl C. and Stephanie Demers III of Constable, NY., and Michael and Angela Demers of Goldsboro, NC., and by two daughters and one son in law, Michelle Robinson and Emily and Timothy Condor all of Richmond, KY. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Allie Demers, Landon Demers, James Robinson, Jr., Dylan Robinson, and Kaitlyn Robinson and by one great granddaughter, Leyna Robinson. There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Chateaugay, NY., in the Spring. Donations may be made in his memory to either the Burke or Chateaugay Fire and Rescue Departments. Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service Inc. of Malone.
