Leo Russell, Jr., 78, of Malone, NY., passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, February 25, 2018, at his home.

Born in Malone, NY., May 1, 1939, he was the son of the late Leo and Antoinette St. Onge Russell, Sr.

He attended local schools.

For many years, Leo was employed by Tru-Stitch Footwear in Malone, NY. He later worked in the maintenance department for Malone Central Schools at Flanders Elementary School, in Malone.

He was a communicant of Notre Dame Church, in Malone, NY. He enjoyed taking long walks and joining his sister, Joan for lunch at Hosler’s Restaurant, in Malone.

Survivors include his companion, Debbie Langlois of Malone, NY., four sisters and a brother in law, Theresa Lord of Malone, NY., Loretta Wickham of Rome, NY., Jeanie and Rand Oaster of Spring Hill, FL., and Joan McDonald of North Bangor, NY., and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Howard Russell , one sister, Laura May Russell, three brothers-in-law, Thomas McDonald, Earl Lord and Marvin Wickham and one sister-in-law, Orpha Russell.

There are no calling hours. A Celebration of his life will be celebrated on Saturday March 3, 2018, in the community room at 77 Catherine Street, Malone, NY. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone, NY., in the Spring.

Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. of Malone, NY.
