Obituary of David D Lawrence
David D. Lawrence, 67, of Malone, NY., passed away Monday evening, June 4, 2018, at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital, in Potsdam, NY., with his loving family by his side. He had been a patient there since April 1.
Born in Malone, NY., March 22, 1951, he was the son of the late Donald R. and Helen Beach Lawrence. He graduated from Franklin Academy, in Malone and attended N.C.C.C.
David operated a hobby farm and a small engine repair business. He later was employed by North Star Industries, in Malone.
He was a huge Elvis enthusiast and enjoyed collecting deer and wolf figurines. He was an avid New York Yankee fan and enjoyed watching westerns, singing and listening to music. He loved to make people smile by telling jokes.
Survivors include three brothers and two sisters in law, Ernest and Kim Reid and Wade Reid all of North Bangor, NY., and John and Molly Lawrence of Chicago, IL., two sisters, Donna Goyea and her companion, Greg LaFave of Malone, NY., and Sally Reid Mulvana of Bangor, NY., nieces and nephews, Jesse Snyder of Brushton, NY., Julie Bogle of Kansas, Jake Lawrence of Westville, NY., Desiree Lawrence of North Bangor, NY., Ryan Reid of Brasher Falls, NY., Jenna Ferriero of Brushton, NY., Laura Goyea of Brushton, NY., Erica Soper of Malone, NY., Mackenzie Kuder of Sackets Harbor, NY., Bailey and Brynne Reid both of Potsdam, NY., Parker Reid of Norwood, NY., Dustyn Mulvana, Molly Jacques, and Leah Weller all of North Bangor and Anista Lawrence, great nieces and nephews, Destiny Snyder of Brushton, NY., Zoey Lazos of Kansas, Ethan Lawrence, Shaye and Theia Spinner all of North Bangor, NY., Myla and Ryker Reid of Brasher Falls, NY., Brandon, Mason and Maddox Ferriero all of Brushton, NY., Gracion King of Brushton, NY., and Annie Soper of Malone, NY., and several cousins.
Along with his parents, Donald R. Lawrence and Helen Beach Lawrence Reid, he was predeceased by one brother, Craig Lawrence.
Calling hours will be Thursday, June 14, 2018, from 10 a.m. until Noon at the Maranatha Bible Church, on Route 30 North, in Constable, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at Noon at the church, with the Rev. Arthur Preve officiating. Burial will be in the Bangor Cemetery, on Route 11B in Bangor, NY.
