Obituary of Rose M. Dashnaw
Rose M. Dashnaw, 60, of Westville, NY., passed away Sunday afternoon, July 29, 2018, at the U.V.M. Health Center, in Burlington, VT., surrounded by her loving family. She had been a patient there since July 27.
Born in Malone, NY., February 24, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Lillian Burgess Pritchard. She attended local schools.
Many years ago, Rose was employed by Tru-Stitch Footwear, in Malone, NY. She later worked as a home health aide at the Farrar Home and for Care Givers. She retired in 2010 because of her health.
She enjoyed home crafts, shopping, having a manicure, taking long adventurous rides with her husband, and spending time with her family and friends.
On October 2, 1976, she was united in marriage to Leonard W. Dashnaw in Lyon Mountain, NY. He survives.
Along with her husband, Leonard, she is survived by two daughters and a son in law, Wendy Dashnaw and her fiancée, Ryan Tierney of Westville, NY., and Sheena and Derek Yeddo of Malone, NY., four brothers and a sister-in-law, Paul Pritchard, Peter and Ida Pritchard and Raymond Pritchard and his companion, Lynn Mulverhill all of Malone, NY., and Tracy Pritchard and his partner, John Dufrane of St. Regis Falls, NY., three sisters and a brother-in-law, Gail Pritchard and her companion, William Christian of Redford, NY., Ann and Pierre Leveille and Sandra Bouvia all of Malone, NY., six grandchildren, Desirae, Ryan, Jr., Tyler, Landon, Ruth, and Isabella, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She also had a “Best Bubba” Janet Pickreign of Malone, NY.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until Noon at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at Noon in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Westville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
