Tricia May Fisher, 75, of Malone, NY., passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, March 8, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family that were assisted by Hospice of the North Country, Inc.
Born in Malone, NY., May 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Beardsley Barney. She was raised by her late grandparents, Joseph and Mary Barney. She attended local schools.
On May 16, 1959, she was united in marriage to Darol “Gene” Fisher, at St. Helen’s Church, in Chasm Falls, NY., by the late Rev. Ward. He survives.’
For many years, Tricia was a sales associate at the National Army Store, in Malone, NY. So was also a volunteer at Notre Dame School, in Malone, for several years. Her most important career was being a wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
She was a communicant of St. Andre Bessette Parish at St. Joseph’s Church, in Malone, NY. She had been a member of the Malone W.O.T.M since 1979 and had received the Queen of Sponsors Award. She was also a past 4-H leader. She enjoyed home crafts, sewing, bingo, playing cards, shuffleboard, and had bowled in the mixed leagues with her husband.
Along with her husband, Gene, she is survived by three daughters and a son in law, Debra Langlois, Patricia Marshall and Kelly and Timothy Lamay all of Malone, NY., one brother and sister in law, Joseph and Lori Jo Barney of Skerry, NY., two sisters and a brother in law, Rosemary and Douglas Gero of Moira, NY., and Brenda Robinson of Malone, NY., eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her grandparents and parents, she was predeceased by two daughters, Sally Kemp in 1994, and Shelly Fisher and one son in law, Kelvin Langlois in 2006.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 10 a.m., Notre Dame Church, in Malone, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, on the Lake Titus Road, in Malone, NY., on Tuesday April 25, 2017, at 9 a.m.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Hope Lodge, in Burlington, VT., or to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country, Inc.
