Mary M. LaVoie, 84, of North Bangor, NY., passed away Tuesday morning, May 7, 2019, at her home while under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc.
   Born in Malone, NY., February 26, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Lola Sprague Murphy. She graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone, NY., in 1952.
   From 1952 until 1954, Mary was employed in the office at Flanders School in Malone, NY. From 1954 until 1957, she was employed by Northern New York Trust in Malone. From 1969 until she retired in 1993, she was employed by VESID.
   On June 5, 1955, she was united in marriage to Darrell L. LaVoie, at St. Joseph’s Church in Malone, NY., by the late Rev. Gallagher. Darrell predeceased her on August 28, 2017.
   She was a long time member of the Malone Golf and Country Club and enjoyed gardening, home crafts, travel and spending time with her family and friends.
   Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, Stephen and Christine LaVoie of North Bangor, NY., and Michael LaVoie and his companion, Tammy Fleury of Malone, NY., four grandchildren, 
   Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Lori LaVoie on November 25, 2002.
   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on a date and time to be announced at St. Augustine’s Church, in North Bangor, NY., with the Rev. Raymond Moreau officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine’s Cemetery, in North Bangor, NY. 
   Donations may be made in her memory to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country, Inc. in Malone, NY.
