Obituary of Julie Barney

Julie D. Barney, 57, of Owls Head, NY., passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, March 15, 2017, at C.V.P.H., in Plattsburgh, NY., after being stricken at her home. Born in Newark, OH., May 13, 1959, she was the daughter of Franklin and Erma Owens Jones. She graduated from Licking Valley High School in Newark, OH. On April 14, 2001, she was united in marriage to Chad M. Barney in Ocklawaha, FL. He survives. Julie was employed at Wal-Mart in Malone, NY., for more than fifteen years. At the present time, she was a photo tech. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and many friends. Along with her husband, Chad, she is survived by her mother, Erma Lee Jones of Newark, OH., one daughter, Cheyenne Barney at home, two sisters and a brother in law, Marsha Meldau of Newark, OH., and Jennifer and Austin Kready of Mineral Wells, TX., and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Franklin Jones and one brother, Douglas Jones. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral home in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Donations may be made in her memory to the Owls Head- Mountin View Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
