Obituary of Yves M. Boulais
Yves, M. Boulais, 80 of Bombay, NY., passed away on Friday evening, June 7, 2019, at his home, while under the loving care of his family, Kathleen Lauzon and Hospice of the North Country, Inc.
Born in Granby, Quebec, Canada, January 16, 1939, he was the son of the late Leopold and Gertrude Potvin Boulais.
He graduated from Canton A.T.C. in Canton, NY., in 1957, with an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering.
On October 25, 1958, he was united in marriage to his only love, Anna Brown at St. Patrick’s Church, in Winthrop, NY. She predeceased him on July 9, 2013.
Yves was employed by General Motors in Massena, NY., for more than thirty years.
He was a life long communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, in Bombay, NY., and a member of the St. Joseph’s Society. He was a long time member and past chief of the Bombay Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting, boating, water skiing, snow sledding and feeding the birds throughout the winter. He loved his family dearly.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Timothy Boulais of Bombay, NY., Marcel and Carleen Boulais of Palermo, NY., Andrew and Tiffany Boulais of Massena, NY., and Jeffrey and Carrie Boulais of Malone, NY., two daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Jon Pontius of Bombay, NY., and Valerie Boulais-Hapeman and her husband Walter Hapeman of Bombay, NY., three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Gisele Boulais of Bombay, NY., Pauline and Edward VanEpps of Cranberry Lake, NY., and Evelyn and Phil Dow of Spencerport, NY., twenty grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Cappiello-McKenzie and Cosgrove Funeral Home, in Fort Covington, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, at St. Joseph’s Church, in Bombay, NY., with the Rev. Martin Cline officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, in Bombay, NY.
Donations may be made in his memory to either the Bombay Volunteer Fire Department or E.M.S. or to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country, Inc. in Malone, NY.
