Obituary of Evelina Dumas

Miss Evelina Dumas, 99, of Malone, NY., passed away Wednesday morning, March 22, 2017, at the U.V.M Health Network-Alice Hyde Medical Center, where she had been admitted earlier. Born in Malone, NY., October 3, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Jennie Robinson Dumas. She attended local schools. She had worked for Kodak in Rochester for many years. She later worked in the hiring department of Wegman’s also in Rochester. She retired in 1990. She had a deep love for her cats. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Percy Dumas and three sisters, Orianna Tavernier, Louella Dumas and Theresa Tavernier. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m., at Notre Dame Church, in Malone, NY. Spring burial will take place on Wednesday April 26, 2017, at 9 a.m. at Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone, NY. Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. in Malone, NY.
