Obituary of Rita M. Bates

   Rita M. Bates, 82, of Malone, NY., passed away early Friday Morning, October 25, 2019, at The Alice Center, in Malone.
   Born in Malone, NY., May 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late George and Lydia Vermette Revette. She graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone.
   On October 1, 1956, she was united in marriage to William Badger. The marriage ended in divorce. He predeceased her in April 2015. On July 6, 2009, she was united in marriage to James Bates. He survives.
   For many years, Rita was employed by the Alice Hyde Medical Center in the Pharmacy Department. 
   She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, bowling and playing bingo.
   Survivors include two sons, William Badger of Plattsburgh, NY., and Timothy Badger of Fort Worth, TX., five grandchildren, William D. Badger, KendraM. Snide, Cassie Badger, Chelsea Badger and Timothy Badger, Jr., four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Along with her parents and her first husband, she was predeceased by one son, David Badger on June 28, 1987, one brother, Victor Revette and one sister, Theresa Shova Goodman.
   Calling hours will be Wednesday from 9 until 10 a.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Billy Bond officiating. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone, NY.
