Obituary of Alfred B. Downer, Jr.

   Alfred B. Downer, Jr., 55 , passed away on Friday afternoon, November 8, 2019, at C.V.P.H. in Plattsburgh, NY., with loved ones surrounding him. Alfred passed on to be with his Heavenly Father. 
   Alfred was born in Malone, NY., April 29, 1964, the son of the late Alfred B. and Corrine Lamica Downer, Sr., He grew up in the small town of Burke, NY., and attended Franklin Academy in Malone. While living in Burke Alfred spent his time caring for his farm animals. Although he preferred the warmer weather and always spoke of moving to Florida, for the last 12 years he lived in Saranac Lake, NY. 
   Alfred was a kind, loving Catholic man who greeted everyone with a smile and handshake. He was quick to make friends wherever he went, and prided himself on giving back to his community however he could, being best known for his baked goods. When the weather was warm Alfred enjoyed being outside fishing with his friends and going for nature walks. He was an avid rock-n-roll fan, a lover of Harley Davidson motorcycles.
   Alfred was a spiritual being who never missed a moment to remind his loved ones he was praying for them. 
   He is survived by several friends and family members across the Saranac Lake, Malone, and Burke regions
   Calling hours will be Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will be in St. George‘s Cemetery in Burke, NY.
