Obituary of Joan I. Tremblay

   Joan I. Tremblay, 87, of Westville, NY., passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at The Alice Center, in Malone, NY. She had been a resident there since November 7.
   Born in Constable, NY., on October 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Irene Gokey Avery. She graduated from Fort Covington High School, in 1950.
   On June 18, 1955, she was united in marriage to Lyle S. Tremblay, at St. Mary’s Church, in Fort Covington, NY., by the late Rev. Msgr. Edmund Dumas. Lyle predeceased her on January 10, 2011.
   Joan was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, family vacations and watching the birds at her feeders.
   Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Kirk and Diane Tremblay of Westville, NY., Timmy and Kellie Tremblay of Brandon, VT., and Bruce and Lyn Tremblay of Westville, NY., two daughters, Deborah Tremblay and her husband, Jay Rodgers of Keizer, OR. and Bonnie Tremblay and her companion, Frank Lupton of Arvado, CO., one brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Vicky Avery of Ohio, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Thomas LaBarge of Westville, NY., and Lynn and Eric Heskett of Arizona, seven grandchildren, Danny, Corey, Krissy, Lucas, and Justin Trembley, Dawn Fitchen and her husband, Matt and Noreen Bautista, one great grandson, Levi Fitchen, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one sister, Janice LaPage.
   There are no calling hours. A date and time of a Celebration of her life will be announced this summer. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, in Bombay, NY.
   Donations may be made in her memory to the Westville Volunteer Fire Department or E.M.S.
