Obituary of Erma T. Fleury

Erma T. Fleury, 92, of North Tonawanda, NY., passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019, at her home, while under the loving care of her family. Born in Constable, NY., December 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Lucy Thomas Burgess. She attended local schools. Erma had been employed by the Alice Hyde Hospital in Malone, NY., for many years. She loved cooking, baking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Erma was married to Vernon Fleury for more than forty six years. He predeceased her. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Shelley Fleury of North Tonawanda, NY. and Sherry and Bridget Fleury of Marietta, GA., two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy and Raymond Cook of Madison, OH., and Lucy Weber and her companion, Len Amato of North Tonawanda, nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Bessie, Winnie, John, Nathan, Raymond, Rita and Douglas. Calling hours will be Sunday December 29, 2019, from 1 until 5 p.m., at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Church, in Constable, NY., with the Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, in Constable. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country, Inc. in Malone, NY.
