Obituary of Thomas John Traynor

Thomas J. Traynor, 62, of Schuyler Falls, N.Y. passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Born in Malone, N.Y. April 8, 1957, he was the son of the late Harold and Alice Larche Traynor. He graduated from Franklin Academy High School in Malone, N.Y. and served in the United States Navy from 1976 until his Honorable Discharge in 1980. He was a self employed contractor. Tom enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, reading the Bible, and was an avid collector of Magic Cards, he also participated in Magic Card tournaments. He also enjoyed building and collecting model cars. A marriage to the former Kathy Allen ended in divorce. Thomas is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Tarah Traynor and her companion, Alex Miller of Watseka, IL., Alicia Traynor of Malone, N.Y. and Misty and David Cayea of Malone, N.Y.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, David and Lynn Traynor of Albany, N.Y., Patrick and Sabine Traynor of San Antonio, TX. and Roger Traynor of Malone, N.Y.; one sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and William Newberry of Panama City, FL. eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Along with his parents, Thomas was predeceased by a brother, Timothy Traynor. There are no calling hours. Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone NY., with full Military Rites. Donations may be made in his memory to the Schuyler Falls Volunteer Fire Department or E.M.S. or the American Cancer Society.
