Obituary of Elizabeth L. Eggsware

Elizabeth L. Eggsware, 87, of Malone, NY., passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 7, 2020, at her home, while under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc. Born in Malone, NY., February 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ora J. and Lucille Trombley Purdy. She graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone in 1950. On May 10, 1952, she was united in marriage to Joseph E. Eggsware, at Notre Dame Church in Malone. He predeceased her on November 17, 2009. Elizabeth was a homemaker. She enjoyed needlework, reading, camping and travel. Survivors include one son, Joseph E. Eggsware, Jr. and one daughter, Christine M. Eggsware both of Malone, NY. She was predeceased by her parents and her step mother, Carolyn Purdy. Calling hours will be Monday from 9 until 10 a.m., at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. Helen’s Cemetery, in Chasm Falls, NY. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country, Inc. or to the American Cancer Society.
