Obituary of Sheila Bailey Sexton

Sheila Bailey Sexton, 65, of St. Regis Falls, NY. Passed away on March 2, 2020 at the University of Vermont Health Network; Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, NY. Born in Malone, NY. on February 19th 1955, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Elsie Bishop Bailey. She graduated from St. Regis Falls Central School. Sheila was a homemaker and was well known for her great doughnuts, her bike trips, picking up bottles and her love of bingo, dogs and cats. On September 7, 1996, she was united in marriage to the late William Sexton, Sr. He predeceased her in November of 1996. Sheila is survived by her two brothers and sisters in law, Michael and Robin Bailey and Wilbur and Rose Bailey of St. Regis Falls, NY.; five sisters and three brothers in law, Sharon Bailey and her partner Jeff Sevey of Potsdam, NY., Cynthia Bailey of Nicholville, NY., Susan and Mark Bailey Sears of Santa Clara, NY., Donna Bailey and James Tracy of St. Regis Falls, NY., and Barbara and Francis Chow of Dixfield, ME. She also leaves behind two step-grand children and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brother Bruce Bailey. Calling hours will be Friday, March 6 from 9-10:45a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11a.m. at St. Ann’s Church in St. Regis Falls with Father Alfred Fish officiating. Private burial will take place in Santa Clara Cemetery following Mass. A gathering for friends and family will take place at the St. Regis Falls Fire Station following the Mass. Donations may be made to the St. Regis Falls E.M.S. or the Falls Cat Palace.
