Obituary of Norma M. Bouissey

Norma M. Bouissey, 90, of Malone, NY., passed away on Sunday, March 8th, 2020, at The Alice Center in Malone, NY.
Born in Malone,NY., August 10, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mildred Moses Bouissey. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Malone and attended North Country Community College.
Norma worked for the New York Telephone Company, and for the Ursuline Novitiate, then later worked at both Montgomery Ward and Empsall’s Department stores in Malone. Norma was also a secretary for St. Joseph’s Church in Malone, the Chancery Office in Ogdensburg NY., and at Alice Hyde Medical Center as a switch board operator. She also worked as a teachers aide at both B.O.C.E.S. and Malone Central School, finally retiring in 1997.
Norma was a dedicated life-long member of Notre Dame Church in Malone, NY., and was a past member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Altar and Rosary Society of Notre Dame, was a Eucharistic Minister, Choir Member, Lector, and taught Religious education. She was also a member of the Society of the Blessed Mother and a Third Order Member of the Discalced Carmelite Secular, and was an Ursuline Associate.
Norma was also well known in the area for her artistic abilities.
Along with her parents, Norma was pre-deceased by her four brothers; Edward, Kenneth, Donald and Vernon Bouissey, and her two sisters Catherine Moomey and Jeanne Montgomery.
Calling Hours will be held Thursday, March 12th, 2020 from 1-2 PM followed by a funeral Mass at 2PM in Notre Dame Church in Malone, NY. Burial will take place following the service in Notre Dame Cemetery in Malone, NY.
