Arlington “Art” Trombley, 72, of Malone, NY., passed away Tuesday, March 10th 2020 at the University of Vermont Health Network, Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, NY.
Born in Malone, NY on April 17th, 1947, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elma Dumas Trombley. He graduated from Franklin Academy and served in the United States Army National Guard from 1964 to 1970.
Art was employed as a supervisor at ALCOA in Massena, NY. and later worked as supervisor of the Franklin County Transportation Department, retiring in 2016.
He was a proud member of the Malone Callfirmen, Malone Amvets, Malone American Legion, Northern New York Firemen’s Association, Inc., Malone Lodge of Elks and was Past President of the camp committee at Ranchside Campground. He was also an honorary member of the New York State Sheriff’s Association Institute, a director of the Malone Fish and Game Club and a member of the Malone Village Planning Board.
On April 4th, 2018, he was united in marriage to the former Michelle Angus in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She survives.
Along with his wife, Art is survived by his sons Arlington Jr. of Malone, NY. and Joseph of Phoenix, AZ., his step-daughter Trisha Angus of Malone, NY., his brother Lyle Trombley, two sisters; Margaret Trombley and Dorothy Lahaie, his grandsons Benjamin and Joshua Trombley, two step grand daughters, Madisyn Allen and Alexandrea Mason, and a chosen grand daughter Kaylei Dustin.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
There are no calling hours. A prayer service will take place on Saturday, March 14th, 2020, at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone, NY.
