Ronald A.Casey, Sr., 70, of Bangor, NY., passed away at his home in the early morning hours on Thursday, March 26, 2020, while under the care of Hospice of the North Country and his loving family.
Born in Malone, NY., August 8, 1949, he was the son of the late Hugh and Lillian Marlow Casey. He was a graduate of Brushton-Moira Central School and served in the National Guard.
Ron was the owner of Casey's Graveside Service in Bangor, NY, retiring in 2015.
On February 1st, 1969, he was united in marriage to the former Margaret Demers at St. Bridget's Church in Trout River, NY. She survives.
He was a member of the Moira Trail Breakers Snowmobile Club, The Brushton-Moira American Legion and the Red Tavern Club.
Along with his wife, Ron is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Brian A. and Barb Casey of North Lawrence, NY., a daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Heath Patterson of Brushton, NY., his daughter-in-law Cinnamon Casey, a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Pam Casey of Ellenburg, NY., two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda Gratton of North Bangor, NY. and Laura and Perry Hamilton of North Bangor, his sisters in law Anita Casey and Debra Casey,five Grandchildren; Cassandra Casey, Kayla Patterson, Corrine Casey, Brittany Patterson and Hugh Casey and three great-grandchildren; Savannah Gilbert, Sabrina Bell and Tanner Gilbert.
Besides his parents, Ron was predeceased by two sons, Ronald Casey, Jr. and Scott Casey and two brothers, William and John Casey.
A graveside burial service will take place at 11am Saturday, March 28th, 2020 at the St. Mary Cemetery in Brushton, NY. with the Reverend Alfred Fish presiding.
Donations in Ron's name may be made to the Brushton Fire Department or the Bangor Fire Department or Rescue Squad.
