Barbara Boyea, 89, of Malone, NY., passed away at the Alice Center in Malone, on Saturday, May 30, 2020, with her loving family by her side. Born in Moira, NY., February 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Addie Baker Butler. She graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone, in 1949 and graduated from Adirondack Business School. For several years, Barbara was employed by General Electric in Schenectady, NY. She later was employed by the Franklin County BOCES as a teaching assistant for several years. She was a member and volunteer at the Malone Adult Center for many years. She enjoyed painting and spending time with her family and friends. On December 27, 1951, she was united in marriage to Norman A. Boyea, at St. Joseph’s Church, in Malone, NY. He survives. Along with her husband, Norman, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ned Boyea of Hollywood, FL., and Joel and Jennifer Boyea of Vacaville, CA., four daughters and two sons-in-law, Beth Ann Boyea of Syracuse, NY., Lory Macknik of Fayetteville, NY., Kary and Frank Prue of Malone, NY., and Molly and Peter Liddell of Fayetteville, NY., one sister, Janet DeMarco of Schenectady, NY., six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Donald Butler, one sister, Beverly Clark and one son-in-law, Timothy Macknik. There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service and burial will be held on a date and time to be announced. Burial will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, in Constable, NY.
