Obituary of Lloyd J. French

Lloyd J. French, 82, of Brandon, NY., passed away early Saturday morning, July 25, 2020, at C.V.P.H., in Plattsburgh, NY., with his loving family by his bedside. Born in Brandon, NY., July 10, 1938, he was the son of the late Elwin and Ruth Fountain French. He attended local schools. Lloyd was employed by the Town of Brandon as a heavy equipment operator, for more than thirty years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mowing his lawn and neighbors and friends lawns when needed. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd and Cheryl Lamore of Chateaugay, NY., William Lamore of North Bangor, NY., and Yvonne Lamore of Massachusetts, one daughter and son-in-law, Laucrecia and Robert Mourick of Potsdam, NY., one sister, Joan Phillips of North Bangor, NY., two sisters-in-law, Dee and Nancy French both of Brandon, NY., one brother-in-law, Bruce Gonyea of Brandon, NY., four grandchildren, Anson Cox, Shane Cox and his wife, Chantelle, and Julietta and Austin Lamore, three great grandchildren, Corbin, Trinity and Olivia Cox and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his long time companion, Joyce Lamore on March 26, 1988, one son, Brian Lamore on April 10, 2000, six brothers and two sisters-in-law, Donald French, Maurice French, Elwin French, Jr., Arnold and Betty French, William French and Robert and Nancy French and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Joyce French, Bonita Gonyea and Maxine and Donald Isner, and Donald Phillips. There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service and burial will be held on Monday August 3, 2020 at Noon, in the Stevens Cemetery, in Brandon, NY., with the Rev. Juanita Brooks officiating.
