Jean E. Mulverhill, 81, of Malone, NY., passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 29, 2020, at the U.V.M. Health Care Network Alice Hyde Medical Center, in Malone, NY., surrounded by her loving family. Born in Malone, NY., March 30, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Lamica Hosler. She attended local schools. On December 27, 1958, she was united in marriage to Robert F. Mulverhill at St. John Bosco Church, in Malone. He predeceased her on May 11, 2012. For more than forty years, Jean and her husband operated Jean’s Sweet Shop at the Franklin County Fair, where they sold cotton candy and snow cones. Jean’s love for cooking was evident as she also owned and operated the Family Sub Shop and Country Kitchen in Malone, many years ago. She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, going to the casino, puzzles and camping at the Ponderosa Campground. While at the Ponderosa Campground she helped coordinate many events throughout the years. She and her husband also sponsored many jamborees for Muscular Dystrophy. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kathryn Mulverhill of Brushton, NY., three daughters, Debra Mulverhill and her life partner, Wiley Kulia of Malone, NY., Jenette Seguin and her companion, Denis O’Neil of Largo, FL., and Pamela Mulverhill and her companion, Jim Hall of Malone, NY., five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Clarence Hosler of Portland, OR., Cameron and Freida Hosler of Constable, NY., Maitland and Barbara Hosler of Constable, NY., Joseph Hosler and his companion, Iris Savoir-Shova of Malone, NY., and Roderick Hosler of Malone, NY., two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sheila and Sandy Allen and Carmelita King all of Malone, NY., seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, Nicole Jock and her fiancée, Annie Prue, Chad Seguin and his wife, Nicole, Joshua Jock and his wife, Emily, Cory Seguin, Kyle Mulverhill, Christopher Caban and his wife Devon and Manuel Caban and his wife, Jessica, her beloved friend, Leo Ashline of DeLand, FL. and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Frank Fish, one daughter at birth, four brothers, Harold, Leonard, Raymond and Robert Hosler, four sisters, Bernadette Roscoe, Ida Mae Hosler, Ann Burke and Shirley Beede and two grandchildren, Ashley Rivers and Samantha Caban. Calling Hours will be Monday from Noon until 2 p.m., at the Bruso-Deesnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone, NY. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
