Obituary of Robert W. Lamb
~Robert W. “Bob” Lamb, 57, of Malone, NY., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday May 10, 2017, while he was working at Wal-Mart, in Malone, NY.
Born in Malone, NY. November 22, 1959, he was the son of the late Walter and Karleen Pelkey Lamb. He graduated from Franklin Academy in 1978.
He served in the United States Marines from 1978 until his Honorable Discharge as a Sergeant in 1992. He was a very proud Marine.
On July 21, 1989, he was united in marriage to the former Denise Russell on Parish Island, SC. She predeceased him on April 2, 2017.
From 2008 until the time of his death, he was employed in the maintenance department at Wal-Mart, in Malone, NY. Prior to working for Wal-Mart, he was employed by Gildan Active Wear in Bombay, NY., for many years.
Bob enjoyed writing in his journal, bible study, praying the rosary, reading, collecting eagles, playing video games and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was loved by his fellow workers and will be surely missed.
Survivors include two daughters and a son in law, Mary Dineen of Plattsburgh, NY., and Jennifer and Charles Duvall of Chateaugay, NY., one brother and three sisters in law, Frank and Connie Lamb of Malone, NY. and Sharon Lamb and Gina Sutton both of Malone, NY., two sisters and brothers in law, Linda and Joseph Selenski of North Bangor, NY., and Sharon and Steven Warriner of Brasher Falls, NY., six grandchildren, Elijah Cox, Jasper Belgard, Shiane Russell, Nikita Duval, Lakota Duvall and Autumn Dineen and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by one brother, Jay Lamb on January 2, 2017 and one sister, Kathy Huddelston.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until Noon. A Funeral Service will be held at Noon, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Joseph Selenski officiating. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone, NY.
