Norman G. King, 91, of Constable, NY., passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 6, 2020, at his home.
Born in Whippleville, NY, October 25, 1929, he was the son of the late Edgar and Leah Goyea King. He graduated from Franklin Academy, in Malone.
Many years ago, Norman was a dairyman for a large farm in Massena, NY. He was later a herdsman for the Trappers Monastery in Piffard, NY, for several years. After moving back to the North Country, he owned and operated a dairy farm for more than thirty-one years. He retired several years ago.
Known for his expertise, he served as a 4-H cattle judge for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking and canning.
On October 5, 1957, he was united in marriage to the former Marjorie Deyo, at Notre Dame Church, in Malone, NY. She predeceased him on June 4, 2017.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Henry Lamondie of Constable, NY., three sisters, Lucy McDonald of Kennebunkport, ME, Anna Marie Johnston of Malone, NY, and Eleanor Vallandry of San Diego, CA, two grandchildren, Leann and Norman Lamondie and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Oscar King and four sisters, Mae Schneeberger, Ethel Gerowe, Marjorie Johnston and Barbara McCormick.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, November 10, 2020, from 9 until 10 a.m., at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. Helen’s Cemetery, in Chasm Falls, NY.
