Obituary of Patricia St. Mary

Patricia “Pat” St. Mary, 65, of Malone, NY, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 11, 2020, at her home, while under the loving care of her companion, Robert LaWare, her family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc. Born in Malone, NY, April 22, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Rena Bashaw Capstraw, Sr. She graduated from Franklin Academy in 1973. Pat was an Industrial Supervisor at Clinton Correctional Facility, in Dannemora, NY, for more than seventeen years. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. On October 11, 1975, she was united in marriage to David St. Mary. The marriage ended in separation. Along with her companion, Robert LaWare, she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Bernadette St. Mary, Scott and Katie St. Mary and Kevin and Rachel St. Mary all of Malone, NY, one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Marie Downer of Southbridge, MA, three sisters, Beverley Bogardus of Webster, NY, Linda Bouvia of Casterville, NY, and Mary Reidel of Malone, NY, eight grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Harold, Jr., David and Patrick Capstraw and one sister, Jennie Baker. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery, in Malone, NY. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country, Inc. in Malone, NY.
