Mona L. LaPage, 60, of North Bangor, NY., passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at her home. Born in Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada on November 5, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Leo J. and Nora I. Perry LaPage. She graduated from Salmon River Central School, in Fort Covington, NY. Mona served as a correction officer at Bare Hill Correctional Facility, in Malone, NY, for more than thirty years. She retired on August 26, 2018. She was a member of the Malone American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo and spending time with her friends and family especially her grandchildren. Her favorite times were spent cruising in her Mustang. Survivors include one son, Christopher Ball and his fiancée, Jessica Oakes of Brushton, NY, one brother, Leo J. LaPage and his companion, Corinne Niles of Brushton, NY, seven sisters and five brothers-in-law, Roslyn Gaetano and her companion Warren Legacy of Malone, NY, Sally and Gary Cartier of Westville, NY, Deborah and George Rockhill of Westville, NY, Alice and Dana Langdon of Malone, NY, Maxine and Timothy Savoir of Valparaiso, FL, Cindy and Bryon Perry of Brushton, NY, and Laurie Stuart of Bolder City, NV, two grandchildren, Angelina Oakes and Jace Ball of Brushton, NY, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Connie LaPage and Sheila Demers. Calling hours will be Thursday December 3, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, in Constable, NY, with the Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, in Constable, NY. Masks are required to attend calling hours and the funeral service. Donations may be made in her memory to the North Bangor Volunteer Fire Department or E.M.S. or to the Westville Volunteer Fire Department or E.M.S.
