Richard L. McMahon, 96, of North Bangor, NY, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 28, 2020, at The Alice Center, in Malone, NY. He had been a resident there since March 13, 2017. Born in Malone, NY, March 27, 1924, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Irene Savage McMahon. He attended local schools. Many years ago, Richard was employed on the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway Project, in Massena, NY. He also owned and operated a dairy farm for many years in North Bangor. He enjoyed cooking. On March 27, 1951, he as united in marriage to the former Eileen Gervais, at Notre Dame Church, in Malone, NY. She predeceased him on January 1, 2017. He is survived by one son, Michael McMahon and his companion, JoAnn Burnham of North Bangor, NY, three grandchildren, Mary Comley, Denise Cummings and Dawn Courcy, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by two daughters, Phyllis Peer and Margaret McMahon, one brother, Kenneth McMahon and three sisters, Virginia Peacock, Jean Miller and Margaret Loftus. There are no calling hours. Funeral Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Augustine’s Cemetery, in North Bangor, NY.
