Carolyn B. Cymbrak, 93, of Malone, NY, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, December 2, 2020, at her home while under the loving care of her family.
Born in Malone, NY, August 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Clarence R. and Freida ”Faye” Olfke Bouvier. She graduated from Franklin Academy in 1945.
For more than twenty five years, Carolyn was employed by New York Telephone Company, in Malone. She served as an operator, office manager and lastly supervisor, retiring in 1968.
She was a member of the New York Telephone Company Pioneers Club. She enjoyed bowling with her husband in the Jack and Jill League She was an avid golfer and member of the Malone Golf and Country Club. She and John enjoyed working in their garden and doing yard work together. She loved watching Hallmark movies and cuddling with her dogs, Brody and Max. Carolyn treasured her time with friends and family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
On December 18, 1948, she was united in marriage to John Cymbrak at Notre Dame Church, in Malone. He predeceased her on August 16, 2004.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, John and Susanne Cymbrak of Malone, NY, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Julie and Paul Richey of Malone, NY, Jodie and Richard Poupore of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jill Benware of Malone, NY, one brother and sister-in-law, Norman “Skip” and Beverly Bouvier of Malone, NY, twelve grandchildren, Erin St. Denis and her husband, Jeffrey, Kati Cymbrak, Andrew Cymbrak and his wife, Kristy, and Hunter and Hannah Cymbrak, Brianna Metzler, Adam Richey and his wife, Jessica, Christopher Poupore and his wife, Kristen, Samanatha Poupore, Lexie Dumas and her husband, Jesse, Sarah Benware, and Joseph Benware, nine great grandchildren, Emma and Cogan St. Denis, Amelia Cymbrak, Sydney, Lillian, Mallory and Meghan Richey, Addison Metzler, and Damon Poupore, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one son, Joseph Cymbrak on November 7, 1967, one son-in-law, Christopher Benware, a brother, Robert Bouvier, and two sisters, Beverly Cox and Theresa Hesseltine.
There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service and Burial will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Cemetery in Malone, NY.
