Rose M. Dillabough, 49, of Malone, NY, passed away Saturday morning, December 12, 2020, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center, in Malone, NY.
Born in Malone, NY, November 29, 1971, she was the daughter of the late James and Brenda Bashaw McCray. She graduated from Franklin Academy, in Malone.
Many years ago, Rose was a custodian at the Brushton-Moira Central School. For several years, Rose was employed by Kmart as a front end manager, and lastly she served meals to the residents at The Alice Center, in Malone, NY. She retired in 2018, because of her health.
Rose enjoyed making wreaths, cooking, gardening and baking and decorating cakes. Her most cherished times were spent with her grandchildren.
She just recently received the Susan G. Komen Award for Courage from the New York State Breast Cancer Society.
On August 23, 2005, she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Dillabough in Malone, NY. He survives.
Along with her husband, Bill, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Ashley McCray of Brushton, NY, two daughters, Michelle McCray and her companion, Nathan Preve of Burke, NY, and Courtney Dillabough and her husband, James Risner of Malone, NY, two brothers, James McCray and his companion, Cynthia Lamica and Scott McCray and his companion, Jamie Chapin all of Bangor, NY, two sisters, Sandy Watson of North Carolina and Tammy McCray of Malone, NY, thirteen grandchildren, Madisyn, Miyah, Mylie, Mavrik and Merritt McCray, Kelson and Sadi Preve, Rachel and Sydney White, Bella, Ariah, Israel, and Natalia Preve and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours and the Funeral Service will be private and at the convenience of the family. A Graveside Service and burial for the public will be held Thursday December 17, 2020, at 12:30 p.m. at the Sunnyside Cemetery, in Brushton, NY, with Deacon Brent Charland officiating.
