Obituary of Carl J. Tacy

Carl "Joe" Joseph Tacy, 97, of Plattsburgh, NY., passed away January 13, 2021, at Meadowbrook Long Term Care Facility in Plattsburgh, NY.
Born in Malone, NY., February 1st, 1923, he was the son of the late Fred and Carrie Prue Tacy. He graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone, NY., and served in the United States Air Force from 1942-1946 as an engine specialist.
He worked at Alcoa, the St. Lawrence Seaway, and retired from Reynolds Metals in Massena, NY. on February 28, 1986 after 27 years of service. He also was a dealer for Toro, Ariens and Bolens lawn care products.
Carl enjoyed gardening, NASCAR, watching sports, traveling and really loved cars. He also spent time in Deland, Florida as a part time resident. He was a former member of the Constable Knights of Columbus. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
On September 9, 1950, he was united in marriage to the former Lorena Mae Sutton at St. Augustine's Church in North Bangor, NY. She survives.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in- law, Donna and Thomas Donah of Plattsburgh; his sister and brother in law Dorothea and Henry Travers of Malone; three grandchildren, Sheri and her husband Timothy Skivers of Morrisonville, NY., Kyle Armstrong and his wife Kristin of Glenville, NY., and Corrine Donah of Houston, Texas, as well as six great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers Vernon and Edward Tacy
A graveside Service will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery in Malone in the spring.
