Everett J. Pecore, Sr., 78, of Constable, NY., passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the University of Vermont Health Network: Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in the City of Plattsburgh NY. Born in Malone, NY., on June 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Howard J. and Saphrona Rousseau Pecore. He attended Malone schools. Everett was employed for most of his working career at Portec Steel Mills in Troy, NY., and later owned and operated a taxicab company in Malone, and later drove cab for other companies. He was proud of his time helping out at the Malone Knights of Columbus, where he was caretaker and also helped at Bingo and running the snack bar. He was also a Medicaid driver for many years. He enjoyed bowling, wrestling, garage sales, playing cards and scratch-offs, going to the casino and watching western movies. In 1961, he was united in marriage to the late Sandra Downer at St. John Bosco Church in Malone, NY. She predeceased him on February 1, 2011. He is survived by his four sons and three daughters-in law; Bobby E. and Treva Pecore of Sevierville, Tn., Austin Pecore of Constable, NY., Craig and Lisa Lamica of Constable, and Everett Jr. and his fiancé Angela Leduc of Constable; his four daughters; Lisa Paige and her companion Richard Handorf of Malone, Saphrona and Timothy Jock of Winston-Salem North Carolina, Shirley Wood and her fiancé Michael Dumas of Malone and Denise and Luke Cromp of Malone; his brother and sister-in-law Walter and Ruth Wheeler of Chateaugay, NY.; his seven sisters Pauline Rivers and her companion Richard Douglass of Malone, Deborah Wheeler and Keith Luce of Troy, NY., Rebecca Wheeler of Albany, NY, Constance Wheeler of Albany, Janine Wheeler and Paul Marcoux of Cambridge, NY., Linda Lamica and Chris Russell of Grafton Park, NY., and Mary Pecore and Brian Walsh of Cambridge, NY., as well as several grand, great grand, and great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind his very close life-long friends Peter and Edith Wasula of Rensselaer, NY. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son David Pecore and a special sister-in-law Ida Leonard. Calling Hours will be held from 2-5pm. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone, NY., followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 5p.m. Burial will take place in the spring at Morningside Cemetery in Malone.
