Carol J. Durant, 81, of Burke, NY., passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the University of Vermont Health Network: Alice Center in Malone, NY. Born in Malone, NY., on June 21, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Alice Debyah Prue. She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church in Malone, NY., and ran a collectables and antique shop in her home along with her husband. On November 25, 1961, she was united in marriage to the late Ronald Durant at Notre Dame Church in Malone, NY. He predeceased her on August 30, 2001. She is survived by her three sons and two daughters-in-law, David Durant of Constable, NY., James and Tonia Durant of Constable and Michael and Denise Durant of Falcon, Missouri; two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Dennis Dupra of Burke and Sharon and Edward Chapman III of Constable; her three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Richard and Brenda Prue of Gasport, NY, Darrel Prue of Florida, and Dale and Sue Prue of Constable, as well as her ten grandchildren, eighteen Great-Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will take place in the spring at Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone, NY. Donations may be made in her name to the American Red Cross.
