Obituary of Winifred T. Trudell

Winifred T, Trudell, 90, of Malone, NY, passed away Monday May 3, 2021, at C.V.P.H. in Plattsburgh, NY, with her loving family by her side. She had been a patient there since April 17. Born in Malone, NY, December 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophrona Lamica Bigness. She attended local schools. On August 13, 1955, she was united in marriage to Howard R. Trudell, at Notre Dame Church, in Malone. He predeceased her on January 28, 1988. Many years ago, Winifred was employed by the Malone Dress Factory. After she raised her children, she was a housekeeper for various hotels in the area. She retired in 2000. Winifred enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, gardening and doing word puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include two sons, Robert Trudell of Saranac Lake, NY, and Donald Trudell of Malone, NY, two daughters, Joyce Trudell of Saranac Lake, NY, and Donna Trudell and her companion Steve Wilson of Malone, NY, one sister, Pauline Moore of South Boston, VA, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two daughters-in-law, Theresa and Lynnie Trudell, one grandchild, five brothers, Harold, Milton, Sam, Earl and Howard Bigness and five sisters, Mildred Perry, Marcelia Jones, Hilda LeCessira and twin babies Joyce and Isabelle Bigness. There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service and burial will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Noon, in Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone, NY. Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. in Malone, NY.
