Obituary of Colleen M. Landry

Colleen M. Landry, 83, of Malone, NY, passed away Friday afternoon, May 14, 2021, at her home, while under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc. Born in Malone, NY, December 12, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Caroline Green Gravel. She attended local schools. On April 10, 1954, she was united in marriage to Alfred A. Landry, at St. John Bosco Church, in Malone, NY. He predeceased her on September 30, 2018. Colleen was a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling in the mixed leagues, flower gardening, and caring for her feathered friends. She was a member of the Amvets Auxiliary. Survivors include one son, Michael Landry of Lebanon, ME; one daughter, Sherrie Danquer of Leesburg, VA, an ex-daughter-in-law, Lenee Landry of Springfield, OH, three half-brothers, Roy Spinner of Malone, NY, Stephen Spinner and his wife, Betty of Dannemora, NY, and William Spinner of Malone, NY, one half-sister, Cecilia Recore and her husband, Irving of Malone, NY; three grandchildren, Megan and Michael Landry and Monai Vano; three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Victor Spinner; one brother, Raymond Gravell and a half-sister, Anna Mae Spinner. Calling hours will be Friday, May 21, 2021, from 2-4 p.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home, in Malone, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the new St. Joseph’s Cemetery, on the Child Road, Malone, NY. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country, Inc. or to Catholic Charities. Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. in Malone, NY.
