Obituary of Wayne J. Gardner

Wayne J. Gardner, 62, of Malone, NY, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, at C.V.P.H., in Plattsburgh, NY. He had been a patient there since April 16.
Born in Rochester, NY, July 5, 1958, he was the son of the late Chester and Geraldine Bigness Gardner.
Wayne was well known bass player and singer, throughout the North Country. He played at adult centers and Amvets from Hopkinton to Malone. He was associated with several bands including the Old Timers Band. His family was especially important to him, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Ann Patterson of Malone, NY, a daughter and son-in-law, Trina and Rodney Cyrus of Fort Covington, a stepdaughter, Shawntel Lamitie of Massena, NY, four stepsons, Jerome Lamica of Fort Covington, NY, Joshua Lamitie of Fort Covington, NY, Allan Patterson of Malone, NY, and Gary Patterson and his wife Jessamyn of California, three sisters, Paulette Walsh, Tonya Gardner and Marie Daugherty all of Rochester, fifteen grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Chester Gardner, Jr.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 5052 U.S. Route 11, Burke, NY. on Saturday, June 19, 2021, starting at 1 p.m.
Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. in Malone, NY.
