Obituary of Noella L. Charlebois

Noella L. Charlebois, 90, of Fort Covington, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, May 16th, 2021.
Born December 26th, 1930, Glen Evis, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late William and Irene Seguin Castonguay.
Noella graduated from high school and was a homemaker and loving mother to her large family. She also assisted her family on the farm and was the bookkeeper. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, in Fort Covington and a long-time member of the Altar Rosary Society.
On May 10, 1949, she was married to Ferdinand M. Charlebois at St. Alexander’s Church, in Lochell, Ontario. He predeceased her on November 12, 2012.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Debbie Charlebois of Shelbyville, TN, Michael and Gilda Charlebois of Fort Covington, NY, and Bernard and Christine Charlebois of Bombay, NY; six daughters and four sons-in-law, Carole Bergeron of Cornwall, Ontario, Madelaine and Peter Ordway of Lake Placid, NY, Suzanne and Charles Ghostlaw of Bombay, NY, Helen Perusse of Fort Covington, NY, Rose-Marie and Dennis Burnham of Massena, NY, and Joann and Thomas Jock of Fort Covington, NY; one brother, Raymond Castonguay of Gaspe, Quebec; one sister, Theresa Guimond of Montreal, Quebec; twenty six grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and twenty -eight great great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one daughter and two sons-in-law, Rita and Lyall Bilmer and Ronald Bergeron, one brother, Henry Castonguay and six sisters, Germaine Larocque, Gerogette Seguin, Laurette Dubreuil,, Cecile Beaulne, Madeline Pettetier and Raymonde Castonguay.
Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Cappiello-McKenzie & Cosgrove Funeral Home, in Fort Covington. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 27th, 2021 at St. Mary’s Church, in Fort Covington, NY, with the Rev. Martin Cline officiating. Burial will be in the new St. Mary’s Cemetery, in Fort Covington, NY.
Donations may be made in Noella’s name to the Fort Covington Volunteer Fire Department or St. Mary’s Church.
Arrangements are through the Cappiello-McKenzie and Cosgrove Funeral Home in Fort Covington, N.Y.
